Account Types

This section describes all available account types, their funding methods, and typical use cases. KYC verification is required to unlock account functionality, and some accounts are created automatically when issuing related products.

KYC Requirement: Complete KYC verification to unlock account functionality.

Account Creation: After receiving KYC status IDENTITY_APPROVED, call GET /account — this creates a CHECKING account. Other accounts are created automatically when issuing related products (cards, IBAN).


1. CHECKING

Description: Crypto account for storing and managing cryptocurrency.

Funding Methods:

Typical Use: Exchanges, card top-ups, subscription payments, card/IBAN issuance.


2. CARD_PREPAID

Description: Account for cards issued under Card Program 1 (CP1).

Funding Methods: Transfers from internal crypto wallets: CARD Top-up.

Typical Use: Funding prepaid CP1 cards for everyday spending.


3. CP2

Description: Account for cards issued under Card Program 2 (CP2).

Funding Methods: Transfers from internal crypto wallets: CARD Top-up.

Typical Use: Funding (CP2) cards for payments and settlements.


4. BANK_ACCOUNT_VIRTUAL

Description: Virtual EUR IBAN account for international transactions.

Funding Methods: Top-ups from external IBANs or crypto from internal wallets: IBAN Top-Up.

Typical Use:

  • Receiving and sending international payments via SEPA.

  • Managing currency conversions for global transactions using the Exchange operation.
